The G&S logo, first printed on a shirt in 1959, marked the beginning of the surfer t-shirt. Now, more than 50 years later, you can get it on a 100% preshrunk 5.6 oz. ringspun cotton tee in white, black or navy.  Last Wave gets these shirts directly from the Gordon family, so they are original, real-deal t-shirts.

This fabric is the default standard for classic heavyweight cotton t-shirts. It's the one that's been around for a long time that you've likely worn time and time again. Made from durable heavyweight 6 oz. 100% cotton material, this fabric is comfortable and made to last. It's pre-washed to minimize shrinkage, however, some shrinkage does still occur so plan accordingly.

  • 6 oz. fabric
  • Some colors require blending: 
    • Ash Grey: 99/1 cotton/polyester
    • Heather Grey 90/10 cotton/polyester
    • Other heather colors: 50/50 cotton/polyester
  • Double needle 7/8" collar

We ship orders M-F, except for major holidays. We do not ship orders on Saturday or Sunday.  Our cut-off time for same day shipping is 1:00 PM PST.  Any orders received after 1:00 PM will ship on the following business day. 

Most items ship within 1-2 business days. Unless otherwise noted, all shipments will be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). USPS shipments have both tracking information and delivery confirmation.  

Most shipments within the USA arrive in 3-10 business days. 

International shipments typically arrive in 12-24 business days.

Any unworn items can be returned/exchanged within 30 days of delivery.

Love the shirt!

I got a G&S Swallowtail for a High School Gradation present back in 1981. I loved that board, learned to surf on it and let my cousin use it with his sons later…i hadn’t seen the board since about 1990. I didn’t know if it still existed until about 2 years ago. I was visiting my cousin at his Beach House, while my son was attending “Surfers Healing” Surf camp for kids with Autism. My cousin told me he had a surprise for me outside in his shed. There she was…my G&S Swallowtail after all those years. Still in good shape. This summer, I was visiting with him again and the ad for the G&S shirt popped up on my phone while he and I were reminiscing…had to have it! Love the shirt with the classic Gordon and Smith Logo…identical to my sweet old board.
