Dave Sweet was the first to build surfboards commercially from polyurethane foam, giving him the distinction "First In Foam."  This heavyweight cotton T-shirt brings back the familiar Dave Sweet arrowhead logo on the back, and a re-designed left chest logo on the front.  It says, "Dave Sweet Custom Boards - "First in Foam" since 1949.   The most classic of the classics - with a modern twist!  Available in Small through XXX-Large.

This fabric is the default standard for classic heavyweight cotton t-shirts. It's the one that's been around for a long time that you've likely worn time and time again. Made from durable heavyweight 6 oz. 100% cotton material, this fabric is comfortable and made to last. It's pre-washed to minimize shrinkage, however, some shrinkage does still occur so plan accordingly.

  • 6 oz. fabric
  • Some colors require blending: 
    • Ash Grey: 99/1 cotton/polyester
    • Heather Grey 90/10 cotton/polyester
    • Other heather colors: 50/50 cotton/polyester
  • Double needle 7/8" collar

We ship orders M-F, except for major holidays. We do not ship orders on Saturday or Sunday.  Our cut-off time for same day shipping is 1:00 PM PST.  Any orders received after 1:00 PM will ship on the following business day. 

Most items ship within 1-2 business days. Unless otherwise noted, all shipments will be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). USPS shipments have both tracking information and delivery confirmation.  

Most shipments within the USA arrive in 3-10 business days. 

International shipments typically arrive in 12-24 business days.

Love this T. Excellent quality and design. Faster shipping than Santa Monica close out. My last 60's long board was a Sweet. I had the pleasure of spending time with Dave after he retired. This T brings back some great memories and has sentimental value. Thanks.

Memories: Cowabunga!!

In August 1961 I bought a 9’0” Dave Sweet surfboard. I rode that board until I went away to college. While away at college, my father thinking I was not coming back, and wasn’t going to surf any longer, gave it away. Bummer!! I’m still surfing with my grandchildren at age 77. Getting this awesome T-shirt brought back some of the lost stoke. Cowabunga!! Thank you Last Wave Originals for making that possible. Rick
